Everything I Love

What do I love? I love to dance, draw, write, talk, sing (in the shower) - basically, I love expressing myself. And usually, when it comes to expressing myself, the quicker the better; and with all the new technology coming out, it's become easier and much quicker to send yourself to the world!
And this is where Blackberry Messenger comes in. I only heard about BBM in my third year of highschool; my friend showed us her new Blackberry and told us about BBM, which everyone oogled at - everyone except me. I didn't really care; I mean, I already had a phone that could send text messages, a computer that can surf and connect with anyone. Enter college life. I didn't realize how hard and busy my freshman year would be, I always had to rush somewhere after class and would always get home late. Now, I can't go online as much, and my old phone is doing a pretty mediocre job at communicating - failing to send messages and receiving replies late (or not getting them at all!). My friend recommended I switch to a Blackberry unit, because of it's usefulness and plus everyone has one - which means, she said with a grin - BBM!
(somewhat) Hesitantly, I did some research to see what all the BBM (and Blackberry phone) hype was about. And I don't know if this is a good thing or not, but the more I saw, the more I craved for the smartphone. What got me hooked? For the phone, it was the sturdy design with the QWERTY keyboard and optical trackpad; for BBM, it was the real-time notifications, the unlimited characters (no 140-character limit!), the ability to share multimedia files without breaking a sweat, the fact that you can see if the person read your message or not (whoops no more room for excuses!), it's communication made easier - so many good things in one unit! Although, my favorite feature would have to be the fact that you can BBM anyone (that uses a Blackberry and has BBM), no matter what continent (or university, in my case) they're in!

So you can imagine my reaction when I saw the BB 9780 giveaway on Unbox.ph :
At first I was like,

And then,
Then finally,
And as soon as I finished happy dancing, I started on my entry right away; I decided to do what I love, which is doodling! I ended up using my doodles in this very simple and short video (with a twist)! I hope you enjoy watching it as much as I enjoyed making it! :)

brace yourself

My sisters (and the computer chair) showing some support.

From four to six weeks in a cast to two weeks in an ankle brace. Things are definitely looking up for me. :)

injured

I am now confined to using crutches.
I injured my ankle last night from a certain dance. I really didn't see it coming my leg got caught in my partner's, I hear a crack and the next thing I know, I'm lying down at the side of the studio with my teacher icing my foot (it was a guest teacher's class). Suddenly, this burning sensation starts around my ankle and I start crying--terribly hard. And as the guest teacher start talking about an understudy, I cried even harder. (The boys had to carry me to the other side of the room, where my bags were). I'm just praying the the x-ray will work on my side and the injury isn't as bad as everyone thinks (just because my ankle was the size of a tennis ball, which, mind you, has reduced to ping-pong ball size).
But that didn't stop me from going out with my friends after. So one of the guys had to carry me after realizing I could barely walk, but we were sitting most of the time, so no big deal. I had an absolute blast with these people and seriously forgot about my injury for a bit. :)

My bruise is a perfect circle.

Love these girls.

yellow fellow

Happy Easter! Heard mass last night, so my mom made us a huge spinach quiche, which was mind blowing, I can't even count how many servings I had. Then we went to my lola's house for our usual family lunch, cousins and all. She too decided to stuff us with turkey, mashed potatos, cannelloni, strawberry crepes, fondue and the best caramel cake ever. After, my family went to MCS to buy some DVDs and buy a leotard for my little sister. Then we (well, my older sister and I, the rest were forced to go) went to an ukay-ukay (thrift store) and I was able to buy a lot, three tops, a pair of shorts and a denim vest (which I gave to my older sister)--for only 500 pesos or 10 dollars--what a bargain! Then dinner with my father's side of the family, most of the dinner was spent laughing and being entertained by my cousin's 2 year old daughter, who was very hyper, thanks to her cup of Coca Cola. Great way to spend Easter, if you ask me. :)

Best quiche ever.

On our way to the supermarket to buy the strawberries and grapes. We were all in yellow, but the pictures are black and white, haha.

My dad's the fiercest man I know.

We can't compete with my dad, haha.

Releasing our inner cheerleader.

Our favorite cake, next to the delicious marshmallow frosting cake.

My latest buys, plus my not so recent but unused buy: my lace crop top.

beach trip

Just arrived from my family's beach house and already I miss the wind and sun! I had a blast with my cousins, sisters and Frankie (no could take care of her so we brought her to the beach!) over the last four days.

I was happily tanning outside the house, listening to my iPod, when my older sister interrupted me and asked me for a few profile shots.

Little did I know it was because she was going to paint me--or my hair. My sister and I seem to have some sort of strange interest with hair, I mean, I like drawing hair too--that sounded a bit creepy but oh well.

A doodle I left on my sister's sketch pad.

Our view as we enjoyed our tall glasses of mais con hielo.

We had to settle with an indoor "bonfire" (slash charcoal in a pot) because it was too windy outside, but the more important thing is that we got to roast some marshmallows.

My little sister kept burning hers.

Apparently, both my sisters suck at marshmallow-roasting.

My sister Mia's monster marshmallow next to my perfectly roasted one, haha.

My cousin, Billie, broke her record of perfectly roasted marshmallows with this slightly burnt one. (It still tasted good, though)

Our failed marshmallows. What a waste.

And then we got weird. Especially my cousin, Bea.

Chubby bunny.

Frankie, the laziest dog ever--she was lying down the whole time, got way too much love.

There were more pictures, but they sort of disappeared. :(

Oh well, I hope summer 2010 doesn't disappoint!

cookie monster

I've been going out the past few days, so I (and my parents) thought that it'd be a good idea to stay home and rest. Since I moved out of my convenient house in Makati and moved down south, I have to get up earlier so that I can ride with my parents if I want to go out--that's because I can't drive yet, and my older sister still has school. So today, I got to wake up at noon. My little sister surprised me with her delicious oatmeal chocolate chip cookies (made from scratch). It's a good thing I stayed home today!

Ate too much of these.

fantasy fight club

Had the best time with my class last Thursday. It was our official last day of school, and we ended it with a field trip to Kampo Trexo, an eco-friendly place with activities like zip-lining, rock climbing, obstacle courses and more things that'll help you gain your ideal summer body, haha. My class decided put the beautiful scenery to good use and have a photoshoot. As you can tell, we went a little overboard, haha, but we had the most amazing time. Best field trip ever, definitely.

On the way to Kampo Trexo.

Testing my friend, Gica's new fish eye lens for digital cameras.

With our Kuya Cookie! Hahaha

During the "Boot Camp training".

Sofi and I, rocking our PE uniform, hahaha.

HAHAHA, our fail tree shots.
